  10. Hi, we have a customer who cannot get his new 3.1 ROMs
  11. to work in his A3000. He has an old 16 MHz machine, and
  12. originally he has 1.3 ROMs.
  13.  
  14. I have checked the ROMs in my own (newer) A3000 and
  15. here they work perfectly.

  17. His machine looks like this inside:

  39. We have tried almost every possible combination.
  40. - 3.1 ROMs in 1.3 sockets.
  41. - 3.1 ROMs in U180/181
  42. - With and without original 1.3 ROMs
  43. - Moving the jumpers....
  44. - Switching U180 and U181
  45. and so on.
  46.  
  47. Could one kind soul out there tell me what we _should_
  48. do, and what should work.

  50. In my own A3000, I just inserted the ROMs in U180/181 and
  51. it worked at once. I have no sockets where he has the 1.3 
  52. ROMs, just space with `connection' for a socket.
